Morning Edition
Weekdays 5-7am
Every weekday for over three decades, NPR’s Morning Edition has taken listeners around the country and the world with two hours of multi-faceted stories and commentaries that inform, challenge and occasionally amuse. Morning Edition is the most listened-to news radio program in the country. Ron Jordan provides local news, traffic, and weather updates.
Roundtable Sunday Edition
Sundays Noon-1pm
The Roundtable’s Sunday Edition is a continuation of the Gaston College Roundtable – WSGE’s original flagship public affairs program since 2000.
The Roundtable began with Randy Walker with the goal of bringing informative and entertaining events, stories, and people to WSGE’s listening area. Through the years however, the Roundtable has expanded it’s scope, and today’s Sunday Edition brings five to six segments to you every week, including Local and National interviews, Sports, Comedy, Music, and Commentary; a radio magazine of sorts for your listening pleasure as you relax on Sundays from Noon till One.
Randy’s interviews have included the likes of Joan Baez, Tony Orlando, Mario Andretti, and David Baldalchi. His range of interests includes everything from history, politics and family safety, to religion, science, and the supernatural; and not to forget sports and music!
Currently Will Harbin is the Sports Host for the Roundtable’s Sports Page and provides technical assistance for the show’s production.
