August is Carolina Music Month!

Upon the request of WSGE Radio, Mayor John Bridgeman of Gastonia, NC made our local music initiative official in 2016.  Pictured is WSGE DJ Curtis Treece receiving the Proclamation from Mayor Bridgeman.

All month long, WSGE will pay homage to the great music, past and present, that’s associated with North or South Carolina. We’ll air features on Carolina musicians that are recognized as Hall of Famers.  In addition, you’ll have an opportunity to win tickets to see two great concerts featuring Carolina artists, Shovels and Ropes, who will be performing at The Crossing at Hollar Mill in Hickory, NC on Friday August 17th or Phil Cook at the Neighborhood Theater in Charlotte, NC on Tuesday, October 9th.  Just listen for the Carolina Music Month Montage for your opportunity to win.  Expect a surprise contest as well!
