Benny D turned me on to this video today. The Avett Brothers continue their meteoric rise to fame with their new album The Carpenter out on September 11th, but they aren’t about to forget their roots. Here’s Scott Avett strumming away the David Childers tune “Lucky Stranger”.
I admit I’m a sucker for stripped down songs, but this is very well done from Scott. We’ve been fans of Mr. Childers’ work here at WSGE for a long time now so hopefully this little tribute will help him gain more of the recognition he deserves.
