Register for Announcing Workshop!

WSGE will offer a five-week Announcing Workshop on Monday and Tuesday starting February 6 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for those interested in becoming on-air deejays.  Volunteers are especially needed for Rock, Rhythm and Blues, Beach and Gospel. Individuals that are well-versed in one or more of these music genres, great oral communicators and computer literate are encouraged to apply.

On-air positions are very competitive so completion of the workshop does not guarantee an air shift.  Class size is limited. The registration fee is $80 unless you are a Gaston College student enrolled in the Broadcasting and Production Technology program.  The fee is not tax deductible.

Applicants with prior radio broadcast experience will be given first consideration. To apply for this class, fill out the Volunteer Form. The deadline is Monday, January 30. Upon notification of your acceptance your fee will be due no later than the first day of the workshop.  You may pay the fee online, by mail or in person. The mailing address is  WSGE, 201 Highway, 321 South, Dallas, N.C. 28034.  The station is located in the Craig Arts and Sciences (CAS) Building, Room 114 on the Dallas campus of Gaston College.
