In honor of Women’s History Month,  WSGE will recognize a woman in March who has made significant contributions to a community service or volunteer organization. Nominations are now being accepted for the Phenomenal Woman Award. 

Every weekday for over three decades, NPR’s Morning Edition has taken listeners around the country and the world with two hours of multi-faceted stories and commentaries that inform, challenge and occasionally amuse. Morning Edition is the most listened-to news radio program in the country.

WSGE is offering a four-week workshop on Mondays and Fridays from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. beginning March 9 for those interested in becoming on-air announcers. This workshop will provide the general knowledge and skills needed to serve as a radio deejay.

In celebration of Black History Month, join us every Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. for The Heart & Soul of American Music. Join host Tyrone Jefferson each week as he walks you through the evolution of American music from 1900 – present.
